Artist Talk with Miriam Zlobinski and Nina Röder on occasion of her solo show Marienbad am Meer at galerie burster.
Miriam Zlobinski works as a researcher, curator and writer about Photography. She is founder and part of the editorial board of ReVue - magazin for photography and perception and a lecturer at University of the Arts Berlin (UdK). As a trained journalist, she brings photography into public discussion at numerous events, and curated exhibitions f.ex. at least the multimedia project In Waves #womenincovid. In 2016 she was a member of the Picture Editing Class at the Ostkreuz School for Photography ans beside that Miriam is doing her PhD at the Humboldt University in Berlin with a thesis titled The political image in photojournalism within the old Federal Republic of Germany, based on the example of the magazine Stern. A critical approach to the collective visual memory. She received the Research Grant of the Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation in 2018 and since 2022 is a member of board history& archive section at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie (DGPh).
